Then the FOLDING mechanism that folds space as the pen.
You cant of course eat paper, the spice melange shows how the way that
the surface of space folding functions.
The paper surface as the Surface Area and the rotation of this surface around some cylinder that
rotates the surface about 3 times ,meaning 360 degrees x 3=1080 degrees rotation.

In fluid dynamics, the Taylor–Couette flow consists of a viscous fluid confined in the gap between two rotating cylinders. For low angular velocities, measured by the Reynolds number Re, the flow is steady and purely azimuthal. This basic state is known as circular Couette flow, after Maurice Marie Alfred Couette who used this experimental device as a means to measure viscosity. Sir Geoffrey Ingram Taylor investigated the stability of Couette flow in a ground-breaking paper.[1] Taylor's paper became a cornerstone in the development of hydrodynamic stabilitytheory and demonstrated that the no-slip condition, which was in dispute by the scientific community at the time, was the correct boundary condition for viscous flows at a solid boundary.
Taylor showed that when the angular velocity of the inner cylinder is increased above a certain threshold, Couette flow becomes unstable and a secondary steady state characterized by axisymmetric toroidal vortices, known as Taylor vortex flow, emerges. Subsequently, increasing the angular speed of the cylinder the system undergoes a progression of instabilities which lead to states with greater spatio-temporal complexity, with the next state being called as wavy vortex flow. If the two cylinders rotate in opposite sense then spiral vortex flow arises. Beyond a certain Reynolds number there is the onset of turbulence.

Starting the folding of space
By applying pressure on both ends inwards to the center where the surface gets denser, the quantal value of the expansion
remains compressed until the water expands the paper compression because of the expansion of water . This water
expansion gets in between the paper folds and displaces through the opening with the water as it dissolves and follows the
waves through it so that the worm moves in the water.
Årobably a really good way to make space ships that use compression related to space. Where the space has the same function
of expansion as water does. So that the edges of the spaceship would expand the spaceship through it's movable MID DISC.
How to fold space?
The water already does this in relation to worms and the surface and gravity but the spice may have some vapor that acts in space
just as the water makes the paper expand and displace. The spice would expand any compressed surface in zero gravity and would
act as SPACE WATER or the SPICE WATER =fluidity of the spice moving in zero gravity and expands the compressed surface of
the SPICE because the SPICE already functions as the fluidity of space (as on Dunes surface =the surface of any shape as in zero
gravity that must have the grains of the matter that spaceships are made of.
more:
Basically the spice crystals are of such a matter that they work better in space than nano matterials that are light weight but they have a problem.
Nano matter ,either made technologically of found on some planets, has too many holes (perforations)between the nano fibers that are used to make them.
In space, such nano materials are not able to define the tightness of the type of matter that would make the space of zero gravity ,equal the amount of
matter to be equalized.
Spice melange, has then, the ability to be both lite weight in space and at the same time ,be dense enough to make it a surface that could be used in
space to interact with the spice vapor as though simulating the way water has fluidity and buoyancy at the same time.
The folded space sections are pulled from the pen (the folded space of the spaceships) ,placed in the water of life where they expand and move around.
