scifi science experiment
in the field asking people for comments on the sounds of Mars dust storms.
by Henryk Szubinski.
Some weeks ago nasa's insight mission recorded the sound of a wind that could be audible and was recorded in the insight microphone by measurement of the vibrations in the insight solar panels.
I have a recording of it on my MP3 player so i was going around to my friends and asking them to listen to the sound of the mars dust storm. The responses were pretty much of
recognition of the facts i gave them before hand.
1) there is sound on Earth because of oxygen. So the way you and I talk to each other is possible.
2) The same thing happens on Mars with the oxygen on it.
3) So the way of talking on Earth and talking on Mars, should have the same effect, our thoughts are displaced.
So in this way the MP3 listeners could relate. I asked them to try to think the way of talking from Mars while being on Earth listening to the MP3 recording of the dust storm
by suggesting that the thought be made to activate the link between the listener and the thinker within us.
So then, how does the oxygen on Mars relate to the oxygen on Earth.
The Martian atmosphere consists of approximately 96% carbon dioxide, 1.9% argon, 1.9% nitrogen, and traces of free oxygen, carbon monoxide, water and methane, among other gases, for a mean molar mass of 43.34 g/mol.
The current amount measured is about 0.04%, so how does one measure this with the projected view of the Mars insight probe looking in the direction of the Mars horizon.
The volume 0.04 % means that to measure it by expanding it 100 times , the volume will be = 4 % so too expand it some more by multiplication of 10 = 40 %
So in reference to the volume, it has expanded 100x10 =1000 time more needed to make the same measure of 1 liter of O2, so that this becomes 1000 Li should have the comparison with the 1 liter of 100 % oxygen.
possible theories:speculations.not really accurate.
So then, the previous indication of multiplications by 10 = 40, may be divided by 2 to get the same volume of oxygen on Mars as that on Earth.
So then, the result is the 1000 Li comparison with 1 liter of 100% oxygen as 1000/ 2 = 500 Li as the measure of the the same percentage as on Earth being about 0.5 liters of 50 % oxygen.
what is known, or rather the scifi science of it.
To comare the two:
Mars has 0.04 % O2 and Earth has 0.4% oxygen
So the difference is 1/10 th
Meaning that the Mars needs to expand the oxygen by 10 to get the amount of 0.4 % on earth. So then, because the x10 Mars = the same as on Earth to collect 1 liter you need to expand the oxygen tanks of astronauts by 10 times or by 10 times faster flow of oxygen into the body.
There are some ways that this indicates the way to think about Mars and it's use of language that would take 10 times more time to cover the distance from one astronaut to another. Perhaps in this way we would have time to think about our response some time x10 later. But we are still thinking and this ability gives the view of the Mars dust storm as being 10 x larger for there to be sound like on Earth. So the dust storm area is increased ten fold to have any astronauts in it to make a conversation possible. Probably some experiments will be made with astronauts trying to define the velocity of sound through oxygen, because the facts of the O2 molecule having gravity influences for it's velocity computations, it could be that the velocity change occurs at some factor of Mars being 2/3 the size of Earth, so the gravity might be altering the velocity or amounts of oxygen being collected in areas on Mars naturally.
The facts could be that the velocity of sound is the same, no matter where we are. Or it could be the result of some special constant of O2 that exists everywhere with no influences of gravity . Or the inertia of the O2 might be such that when O2 collects it will be more difficult to stop. So oxygen might be solid enough on Earth to not have visable inertia but there is proof of the wind velocity and it's strength as part of the ability to push objects over. So this could be inertia. If the velocity of O2 is the same as 1 unit of pressure of wind, then the inertial power of winds on Mars could be 1/10 that on Mars.
So the implications of having someone breath down our neck with words may be so because we humans have evolved to be able to sense the information of spoken language as equal to 1 unit pressure in the O2 as 1 pascal.
The atmosphere of the planet Mars is composed mostly of carbon dioxide. The atmospheric pressure on the Martian surface averages 600 pascals (0.087 psi; 6.0 mbar), about 0.6% of Earth's mean sea level pressure of 101.3 kilopascals (14.69 psi; 1.013 bar).
The pascal value on Mars is 600 so then the value as compared to Earth's
as ideal means it is compared to the amount of oxygen on Mars as 0.04
= 600 / 0.04
=15 000 pascals per oxygen amount.
Meaning that the oxygen is reduced in motion by winds on mars. The facts of it being 1/10 to of that on Earth and as audible sound
=600 / 0.4
=150
This could be the inertia of the air velocity on Mars as 150 . MEaning that this inertia of dust storms moving through an experimental area on Mars where there are
poles input into the Mars surface ,or as elastic cylinders that indicate the amount of bending of the cylinders as in the area that has the regular distribution of them
could then be mapped as the cylinder absorbing the O2 to compare the total field, the bending amounts and the amount of oxygen as compared to our Earth's velocity of sound being 330 meters per second.
There could be other experiments where the area inner and the area outer is 10 x times larger and the measurements are made with the interval between the 2 areas as that which defines the resistance or opposition of the oxygen motion by negative or positive inertia.
There could be plank values as well as quant mechanics needed to define , the physics of talking on Mars within the Mars atmosphere.
The facts of the Insight mission include the reality of the 0.04 % oxygen being shared equally between the left and right sides of the brain, so the Mars O2 level compared to the Earth as oxygen being 0.4 as 10 times larger, means the synaptic connections of the astronaut and the brain being 10 times less than on Earth.
Meaning that the difference between the Earth and Mars is just the response of our reflexes to identify the sound at about 10 times more velocity than on Earth.
In this way, there could be "type reflex signaling units" made for the fastest response of any human reflex speed to be measured in relation to sound moving in oxygen depletion.
The fastest response could then define the amount of O2 on Mars as the ideal 1 unit of 1 liter oxygen as related to the reflex speed as equal to the velocity of sound between the listener and the sound. So then the reflex would be divided by 2 to get the interval right.
This would also function for the model of the brain and the half way point between the left and right hemisphere as the use of the reflex speed and it's possible comparisons of samples of O2 made for astronauts to talk in and a room with Earth oxygen amounts and another room with the Mars oxygen amounts and then measure the speed of the sound in it and derive the common multiple.
In any case the velocity of sound and oxygen in various environments of O2 may define the problems of talking but also of breathing. So then, the facts of space settlements on Mars the ideal environment depends on the need to live there. You simply make the Mars environment the same as our Earth environment by having the same amounts of oxygen , or the amount changes because of Mars gravity as being lower, even when more O2 is input. So the need for less oxygen might be defined as the need for the O2 to be 1/3 weightless in comparison to Earth's gravity and O2.
In any case, the results of experiments will probably show the true volume and pressure needed as ,no need for the gravity 2/3: 1 comparisons of Earth and Mars.
To create environments of survival, on Mars the same air pressure, humidity, density, temperature and hundreds of other values have to be right to get our senses to feel attuned to speaking in a conversation that feels like our Earth's.

The water function in our brain that creates the environment of existance of our brains within it also has the need for water in hearing the infinite variables of possible sound factors, of distance, velocity, and so on. We function anywhere in the universe. So to expand this sense, there is the "need or, non need" definitions that makes us humans special and adaptive to water, more so than adaptation to O2.
In which case the universal ability of humans adapting to water is as great as the one that defines our hearing ability.
So to make the computation that:
Universal ability to hear- the universal ability of water adaptation=the universal 3rd function, which is the
ability to value the hearing factor with the water factor by using multiples of them as
hearing x2 and water x1 as the new types of molecular concepts of the brain and it's ability to recognize other
environments such as the way that water may reverse to the universe and our position in it as the mixed adaptation
that uses oxygen in water tanks to measure the amounts of water motion so that they are stable or so that they change
by references to 1 or 2 multiples as the water expands and the air environments compress.
This is the way that astronaut activity is measured in the buoyancy experiments at nasa. So the best way to measure
the Mars insight data needed would be to use the type of "thought experiment" in which the astronaut within me, is
immersed in the center between brain hemispheres and the velocity of water motion is measured with the velocity of
the oxygen bubbles moving through the water as the indicator for the effect of saying one's name in water on Mars
to see how the bubbles change their motion. The bubbles indicate the amount of oxygen used, so then , the true value
of the oxygen on Mars would be measured by subtracting the amount of bubbles from the total volume of the neutral
buoyancy lab water to define the change or flux of the motion of oxygen and sound.
some information:
By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95%oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1% at sea level, and 0.4% over the entire atmosphere.
The standard, or near-average, atmospheric pressure at sea level on the Earth is 1013.25 millibars, or about 14.7 pounds per square inch. The gauge pressure in my automobile tires is a little more than twice that value.
One atmosphere (101.325 kPa or 14.7 psi) is also thepressure caused by the weight of a column of fresh water of approximately 10.3 m (33.8 ft). Thus, a diver 10.3 m underwater experiences a pressure of about 2 atmospheres (1 atm of air plus 1 atm of water).
The tendency of an object to resist changes in its state of motion varies with mass. Mass is that quantity that is solely dependent upon the inertia of an object. The more inertia that an object has, the more mass that it has. A more massive object has a greater tendency to resist changes in its state of motion.
Here's the neutral buoyancy lab nasa.
