The imprinted brain: how genes set the balance between autism and psychosis.
AbstractThe imprinted brain theory proposes that autism spectrum disorder (ASD) represents a paternal bias in the expression of imprinted genes. This is reflected in a preference for mechanistic cognition and in the corresponding mentalistic deficits symptomatic of ASD. Psychotic spectrum disorder (PSD) would correspondingly result from an imbalance in favor of maternal and/or X-chromosome gene expression. If differences in gene expression were reflected locally in the human brain as mouse models and other evidence suggests they are, ASD would represent not so much an 'extreme male brain' as an extreme paternal one, with PSD correspondingly representing an extreme maternal brain. To the extent that copy number variation resembles imprinting and aneuploidy in nullifying or multiplying the expression of particular genes, it has been found to conform to the diametric model of mental illness peculiar to the imprinted brain theory. The fact that nongenetic factors such as nutrition in pregnancy can mimic and/or interact with imprinted gene expression suggests that the theory might even be able to explain the notable effect of maternal starvation on the risk of PSD - not to mention the 'autism epidemic' of modern affluent societies. Finally, the theory suggests that normality represents balanced cognition, and that genius is an extraordinary extension of cognitive configuration in both mentalistic and mechanistic directions. Were it to be proven correct, the imprinted brain theory would represent one of the biggest single advances in our understanding of the mind and of mental illness that has ever taken place, and would revolutionize psychiatric diagnosis, prevention and treatment - not to mention our understanding of epigenomics.
The Maternal starvation probably has it's origins in the lower amount of nutrients and lower DNA programming of the mother carrying the fetus as it has greater weight ,thus stretching the spinal chord of the mother so as to create stretching of the limits of the spinal strength and the thinning out of the spine due to gravity so that lower amounts of nutrients and DNA reaches the fetus.
Probably the result is that the missing length of the mother "center of balance " is missing and the growing child has to develop into maturity while finding the contact with the ground. The ground is described in many books on the mystical arts and how to be "GROUNDED with REALITY".
So in this way of stretching the tensile limitations and the lower flow of nutrients to the fetus is lowered and the feeling of separation occurs as though one was already pulling or stretching the umbilicus prior to birth and umbilical entanglements.
So in some way this "early sense " of separation creates the sense of "genius" as the IQ may be the difference of the mothers ability to adapt to "overweight fetus load" and the lower body strength, giving the ratio of body strength some difference.
This makes the need for the displacement of wastes in the birth sack less likely to create responsive problems of breathing while being born in the contraction faze. Stanislaw Grof has written much about this in his book "The Holotropic mind" as the study of
PREBIRTH MATRICES as in 3 stages , 1,2,3.
So when finding the missing length of the tensile limitations of the mother spine, the feeling of contact with Earth may be felt and normal stimulus may begin with others who are GENIUSES and the feelings of being "unclean" will naturally become an interesting thing to deal with as growing up one naturally continues to care for oneself and ones hygiene as related to the missing length being neutral. So then, the extra weight of the wastes in the intestines is not in the subconscious mind as the problem of how to balance this with the regular visits to the toilet and the decrease of the weight change becomes natural and not related to the missing weight and stretch distance.

Encounter with birth and death: dynamics of the perinatal matrices[edit]According to Grof, the reliving of emotional and physical pain can become so intense that an identification with "the pain of entire groups of unfortunate people, all of humanity, or even all of life",[24] can manifest. This is accompanied with "dramatic physiological manifestations".[24]
At this level, death may be encountered and birth relived.[25] According to Grof, there are four "hypothetical dynamic matrices governing the processes related to the perinatal level of the unconsciousness",[25] called "basic perinatal matrices" (BPM).[25] These BPM's correspond to the stages of birth during the process of childbirth.[26]
BPM I: The Amniotic Universe[edit]This is the original symbiotic unity of the fetus with the maternal organism.[26] Elements of this state can be accompanied with, or alternate with, experiences of a lack of boundaries and obstructions,[27] such as the ocean and the cosmos.[28] The extreme expression of the sacred and spiritual quality of BPM I is the experience of cosmic unity and the unio mystica.[28]
BPM II: Cosmic Engulfment and No Exit[edit]This matrix starts with the onset of labor.[29] The intrusion of chemicals and the pressures of labor change the situation in the womb, and "interrupt the fetus’ blissful connection with the mother and alter its pristine universe."[29] Accessing this layer gives rise to strong feeling of "no escape".[29] When experiencing this level, the sense of loneliness and helplessness is overwhelming.[30]
BPM III: The Death-Rebirth Struggle[edit]This matrix is connected with the move of the fetus through the birth channel.[31] It involves a struggle for survival.[32] When experiencing this layer, strong aggression and demonic forces are encountered.[33] Biographical memories associated with this matrix include struggles, fights, and adventurous activities.[34]
BPM IV: The Death-Rebirth Experience[edit]This matrix is related to the stage of delivery, the actual birth of the child.[35] The build up of tension, pain and anxiety is suddenly released.[35] The symbolic counterpart is the Death-Rebirth Experience, in which the individual may have a strong feeling of impending catastrophe, and may be desperately struggling to stop this process.[36] The transition from BPM III to BPM IV may involve a sense of total annihilation:[36]
