You're not going to find the gravity effect cause on Earth. Why?,. Because of the amounts of molten rock matter of the core of Earth. It does not have so much metallic matter as the example of metal = magnetism as it does on Mars where the metallic core has taken over and the magma is pushed to reduction by magnetic winds ,or gravity winds on the surface and the dunes gain their blue metallic tinge.

Mars may be totally magnetic. Meaning that the surface also is metallic to such an extent that the surface particles of matter are in motion as metal fillings that are shifted by the inner core rotation or alternations of the magnetic upper and lower polar rotations of the magnetic field.

The probable cause of the mars insight probe drill malfunction is due to the drill being metallic and the surface layer of the marsian surface is magnetic, so that when the drill goes down ,the magnetic effect pushes back up on the drill and it does not move lower.
