To begin any depiction of the fictional stories of a scifi film you need to have the total "open sphere" that is totally "non alive" so as to

Creation and destruction appear in many civilizations as on equal footing. That there is a general sense that the world will not make it is part of the knowledge of the Mayan civilization, the Hindu civilizations, the Hebrew civilization, the Egyptian civilization and so on in every civilizations that has ever existed and everyone whose origins are from those worlds are the people that are still alive today that are the ancestors and the facts that even Europeans have this world view. While the other side of the argument is that each of these civilizations also has a creative side, but to create on the basis that the "destructive relationships of the end of the world" in each of them be viewed in another light, is confusing to those who know that there have has been an ongoing e.t contact presence throughout the ages of human evolution. Why mix the destructiveness of the end of one civilization with the e.t only on the basis of there being a creative side, when those who make such stories in the scifi worlds have no truth to them. How can other worlds ,have had the same destructive and creative powers to them as our own failings of civilization on this world ?,
and this is how the human input to such portrayal in films is made to give the involved some sense of creativity, but that comes previous to the destructivity and the e.t peaceful beings are brought into an arena where we do not survive because we represent the first move= for the good (that is all we have) and then the result has to result = the bad and then the e.t as the bad guys.
